About Cat
Cat is the founder of Empowered Learning VT. Cat holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Bachelor’s in Art Education from the University of Vermont. They have worked in various teaching and administrative roles in the realm of both art education and special education in Vermont public and independent schools. In their consulting work, Cat upholds a strong collaborative approach tailored to align with and uplift the values and traditions of each school's community and educational approach. In their private tutoring offerings, Cat utilizes a multi-sensory, evidence-based approach incorporating elements of art and play to help struggling learners find success and confidence in their math, reading, and executive functioning skills. Cat believes that all individuals are capable of living fulfilling lives and contributing valuable insight and abilities to their communities and to the world, and they put great effort into holding a space for children that is warm, welcoming, and inclusive.
